Family Discount

Up to three additional adults listed in the ancestry chart may receive 50% off their own annual Premium subscription.
Discount applies only to Premium plans and is limited to three discounted accounts.

Account Activity & Payment Status

The account remains fully active while subscription payments are current.
If payment stops, a 180-day grace period applies.
Reminder emails are sent at 30 days, 90 days, and 150 days after payment failure.
After 180 days without payment, the account is locked and becomes view-only.
Locked accounts are preserved indefinitely and may be fully reactivated at any time by resuming payment.

Multi-Year Prepaid Options and Additional Concierge Sessions

Premium subscriptions may be prepaid for up to 5 years at account creation.
10-year prepaid plans are available.
20-year prepaid plans require direct coordination with YourStories.Live.

Administrator Requirements (Prepaid Plans)

All prepaid plans must designate an account administrator at creation.
10- and 20-year plans require one primary administrator and one backup administrator with full contact information for both.

Ongoing Verification (Prepaid Plans)

Administrator contact details are verified once every 24 months.
Failure to confirm details after three contact attempts over 90 days may result in temporary administrative restrictions.

After Death & Legacy Handling

Upon receipt of a valid death certificate, the account remains open for 45 days. After 45 days, the account is locked to new content additions. Exception: Reflections remain open for authorized viewers to contribute after the lock.
All existing content is preserved.
The account remains viewable indefinitely by authorized viewers.
Editing or administrative changes require an active paid subscription.
Editing may only be performed by the designated account administrator.
If no administrator exists, no changes can be made.
The designated administrator is notified within 30 days confirming legacy access.

Key Policies

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee & Refund Policy

New paid subscribers (Premium and Premium Concierge Plus) may request a full refund within the first 30 days of their initial subscription. After the 30-day window, all payments are final. No refunds under any circumstances.

Annual Recipient Confirmation

Each year, recipients receive an email to confirm their delivery address and acceptance of a scheduled gift. If the recipient’s address has changed to a different shipping zone, additional shipping costs may apply. Recipients may be offered the option to receive the gift immediately at no additional cost rather than pay a zone difference.

Shipping Cost Increases During Hold Period

Shipping costs are monitored annually. If projected outbound shipping exceeds the prepaid credit, the Account Administrator is notified first and is responsible for either paying the difference or authorizing immediate delivery. If the Administrator is unavailable, the recipient is contacted next. There is no general early delivery option — early delivery is only offered as an alternative to paying increased shipping costs.

Undeliverable Items — 90-Day Hold Policy

If a gift becomes undeliverable, the item is held for 90 days while active contact attempts are made with the recipient, account administrator, and backup contacts. A final notice is sent at day 60. After 90 days without resolution, items are disposed of as follows:
  • Valuable items (over $500): Auctioned, proceeds held for claimants, then donated to charity.
  • Personal or sentimental items: Extended hold, digitally archived if possible, disposed of respectfully.
  • General items (under $500): Donated to a registered charity.
YourStoriesLive.com™ does not profit from sentimental items. Any proceeds beyond costs go to charity or rightful claimants.
